I looked over the supercharger for a model number, but I couldnt find anything. (I was hoping I could find the model number and then get some data sheets off the internet for it)

It seems to have come with four pullies. the pulley mounted on the SC is 2.75", the other three are 3", 3.25", 3.50"

Some pictures of the throttle assembly. It seems to have switches for wide open and closed throttle positions to go to the stock wiring.

If I was to guess, this looks like a MAP sensor to me. ???

I have no idea where this would get hooked up to. Maybe they patched it into the existing wiring that went to the Air Flow sensor or something. Any ideas? By the looks of the screws it was mounted to a piece of plastic somewhere.

Here are the various pullies.
I suppose of I could find the SC data sheet, I could calculate the PSI of boost that each pulley would supply, based on the size of the main pulley to the pulley on the SC?

This kit didnt come with the serpentine pulley assembly for the A/C. I'm not sure what I can do about that.

Using information from Craig, I fired off an email to SoK to see if they are still available to provide some parts / engineering.

It would be simplest if they could provide some of the missing parts for the SC.

-Larger Injectors
-A/C pulley replacement
-installation instructions
-Piston Machining
-Engine bracket modifications
-etc

I also found EFI Systems online.

http://www.efisystems.com/index.html

They make the piggy back computer that was used by SoK. They list the porsche model as obsolete now. However they also have this InterACQ software for datalogging and programming the EFI.

http://www.efisystems.com/pms1.html

Which would be a handy tool. I sent them an email as well to see if they are still an active company and how much the software was.

In one of their manuals it mentions that there is a three prong connector for connecting an optional MAP sensor to their unit. I guess that explains where the MAP sensor I found goes to. Apparently they didnt take that cable out of the donor car though so I will have to find the cable ends somewhere.

Maybe one of the EFI companies will list the gm map sensor connector.

Got a quick reply from EFI systems:

Sorry but we no longer sell or support the PMS for Imports.
Doug W

On day I will have to rip it out and replace it with a more modern and capable alternative. ( Motec or Haltech or whatever)

Someone here mentioned they had experience with 034 motorsport efi, and I've had a look and the price seems very good.

This one in particular might be useful for you.

If it does what it says for $280, then that is very cheap.
Here's another option

Update:

I phoned SoK today and had a long chat with Mike Parker.
Although they arent particularly active anymore (One of their main fabricators health took a turn for the worse a couple of years ago), they are still available to help me with this SC.

They are going to provide:

-original installation instructions
-modifications to the aluminum a/c bracket and engine cross member
-details on the required fuel injectors
-additional pullies and equipment for the A/C (my kit was from a car that didnt have AC i guess)
-machining for the pistons to get them to 9:1
-replacement belt

-Hopefully I will get a chance to pull the motor around mid june, and then this project can really get rolling. (I have to finish some work on my garage first.)

I was also looking online yesterday at the autronic stuff. Also very nice:

http://www.autronic.com/

They have knock control and auto tune features. which would be nice.

My plan is to proceed with the existing EFI stuff for right now, and maybe in 2008 it will be a fun project to replace it all with a different after market unit. (gotta think up a new project for each year. )

The compressor supplied by SoK was the
Whipple SRM 1600
or alternately the Autorotor OA 3150 B

Manufacturers have merged and changed so the now it would be the Lysholm 1600AX or the LYS OA SR 3. available from :
http://www.opcon.se/index.asp?sPage=1&langID=1&cID=14

Here is the datasheet for the LYS 1600 AX.

I ordered up the bigger injectors, ribbed idler pulley, and ribbed A/C pulley, but they havent arrived yet.

I contacted Mike at SoK and they are going to machine the pistons to 9:1 compression and beef up the a/c bracket and motor support bracket, and provide all the required info for the installation.

I made up a list of porsche parts required. (replacement clutch parts mostly, stuff like that) but I dont want to place the order until I have the engine dropped in case I need any extras.

I am going to drop the engine the week of June 24-30, and get the parts off to SoK at that time.

Unfortuneatly my work schedule has been hectic, and I have been spending 3 weeks of each month working out of town. Which certainly slows things down! Also I have been trying to finish the drywalling in my garage. But that project is running behind schedule, so whether its done or not I am going to pull the motor during that week.

Once the parts are off to SoK I will likely send in a pile of parts for powder coating as well.

So its progressing but slowly.

Not sure if I'm driven or not. But there is alot of expensive parts sitting on the garage floor right now so that makes me 'motivated'
Also a buddy of mine just bought a 2002 996 and I really wanna kick his a$$!
