Default Looking for independent Porsche specialists shops in Maryland

First off let me say hello. I'm a new Rennlist user who happen to stumble upon this site when searching for fixes for my 1991 Porsche 964 C4.

I'm currently looking for a Porsche specialist in Maryland to help me sort out little things or further diagnose problems on my car.

Not sure if I should post another thread on my problem (advice?)
Symptoms:
- I hit the defroster button the fan turns on for maybe 1-2 seconds then stops
- I select heat by turning the **** away from the blue dot - nothing
- I feel heat
- A/C works - fan and everything

While searching for a resolution and possible causes, I found the following:
- Replace the rear blower motor - best online price anyone?
- Bad relay - how do I fix?
- Blown fuse - which one?

My searches didn't find a how to replace internal motor? Anyone have a link?

Thanks.

I had the same problem. I replaced two things:
1. Blower Motor Resistor (here's a link to part)
This part really was the lynch-pin in the fix for me. Replacing the other was almost compulsory. Once I put in the resistor, my fan worked properly.
The resistor is a 2 minute fix. It's located on the left side of the blower housing (large black plastic tube on the taking up the left side of your engine).

2. The temp sensor on the blower - i can't find the link to that part, but when I get home tonight, I will look through my receipts and then let you know. I mainly replaced this because I was having issues with my fan turning on when the car was cold and not wanting to shut off...

I may have the same problem, is there a way of testing to pinpoint problem? I had changed my resistor when I first started working on my car. I to would like to know how to troubleshoot before I start buying random parts.

As for a Porsche specialist in Maryland, I used TPC Racing for my engine rebuild...excellent job. Not sure of other specialist, aside from the dealer...anyone?

Do you have contact info for Ralph's Garage? I can't seem to find them.

Answers to other questions- I'm in Towson, I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how, -so I don't need a rear motor? I replaced the coil thing/resistor mentioned about a year ago.
