Window switches
Yes, the window switches. Got one that's falling apart and the other is almost DOA. I've seen the threads about rehabbing them, but right now, I've of a mind just to replace. So I've gotten prices anywhere from $9.95 on fleaBay, to $49 at Sunset, to $74 at the local dealer! Pelican seems to sell various grades. So, what's the diff? I've heard notions that the cheaper ones are, well, "cheap" and will break easily, but frankly, I don't see a lot of difference outwardly - they all look cheap to me. I could buy a lot of cheap ones for 74 bucks.
A lot of folks use the term "Porsche part" vs. "OEM" vs. "aftermarket", and I think sometimes the terms get mixed up. I assume if I'm buying a part from a Porshe dealer, it's a "genuine Porsche" part. Beyond that, it's hard to know for sure what I'm getting...

Following jimq's advice, I bought the Performance Parts ones and replaced all three. Figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace a 16-year-old electrical switch. I had also bought another one from some outfit on ebay for $9. It was interesting, comparing the original vs. the Perf. Parts version vs. the ebay version, the PP version looked identical to the original on the outside, while the ebay version had very inferior mold quality. Of course in the pictures, they all look the same.
