However, I didn't drop six quarts as I believe I had read here. It was more like 4.75 qts. I guess this was because I had the right side of the car jacked up with the left side down. At any rate, I was lucky that I only had 5 qts on hand! I was prepared to pour in six. I later checked, pouring the spent oil into the old oil bottles.
