Where do you buy from? I am thinking of getting our new rotors from cdoc.com, has anyone used them?

I got my rotors from www.frozenrotors.com. I have about 20+ days on them at the track, and they are still in super great shape. I had Pagid Oranges that left lots of vibration from pad deposits, then I switched to Hawk Blues which scaped it right off in about 2 laps! Anyways, I recommend these rotors as I have used them on a couple of different cars now and they rock.

CDOC is a good place. Try also RockAuto (got my rotors from them, they had the best prices), Pelican, Paragon, Vertex, etc.

Do you do any track driving? For slotted rotors, you can contact Paul@westonmotorsports.com. He can also get them Cryoed, if you want. He also sells pads for street and racing.

Avoid aftermarket Zimmerman rotors they are garbage. The hubs rust and they last half as long as the factory rotors. For less money you can buy factory OE rotors from someone like Sunset Imports.

The car will see two to three de's this summer and some auto x. I was thinking of the Power Slot rotors (I believe the same ones Kgorman has) and was wondering if the cryo treating makes a big enough difference to justify the price? We bought the car with Zimmerman's and on a "better safe then sorry" line decided not to track them.
Also, to Nader how much would these be?

The ones I have a OE rotors with cryo-treatment. If your not going to track too much, just get the simple OE ones. I would compare prices around because I remember they varied wildly.

I have not bought any for 964 from Paul Weston yet (Our first 964 should be here in a day or two). However, the last estimate I have for 944 S2 rotors where the cost was broken down is from 05. The costs were $92.5 for front rotor, $39.5 for slotting and $56 for cryo treatment of each rotor. Paul has someone slotting the rotors for him, so he can give you a cost on the OE rotors vs aftermarket. IIRC, the rotor cost above were for OE. I just bought 2 slotted rear rotors for the S2 and they were $144.5 each.

The S2 is a race car. FWIW, I have stopped paying for Cryo treatment. I figure I have to buy at least one set of rotors a year and I have seen no differences between cryo treated vs non-treated on the S2. I would never buy another drilled rotors. I have had drilled rotors crack bad enough within 3-4 weekend that had to be replaced.

Paul can also give you good suggestions for what pads to use based on your driving. He is a Clubracer himself and has a good reputation on the East Coast.

Good luck.
