Rennlist North Wales Run!
Still a bit pushed for time - I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I don't seem to have much time for posting at the moment - so just time to say:
Sign up here for (weather permitting) Sunday March 18th.
For any newbies - we have a bit of a drive around some wonderful road, a picnic lunch and a chat and generally have a bit of fun. It's child-friendly and relaxed and you can you go at your own pace. Unless you're Dave of course, in which case you go just a little bit faster than the faster car...
Everybody's welcome. Except for that police helicopter...

Well folks I felt another trip around the triangle was called for, it was somewhat cold up there on Tuesday, but glorious all the same .....
For the good people from the US of A, Evo is a well regarded monthly car mag that use these roads for a lot of their roadtesting duties.
Not too much traffic about, and as those of you who have driven the roads previously will know, they are superb.
As you can see from the photos it was a fantastic day for a “spirited” drive.
I’m still learning the car, but suffice to say 462 hp and rear drive only, with no electronic safety net whatsoever, focuses the mind !
The car is really way too stiffly suspended (and too low also) for the roads of the triangle and those close by. I can honestly say my old Subaru Impreza P1 (an Impreza fettled by Prodrive who prepare the WRC cars) would have been waaaay quicker.
Couple that with the ice cold conditions and I had one or two “moments” :yikes:
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
It’s quick up here
Road conditions a little on the chilly side !
A drivers nirvana..........
Some chaps from the RAF were up there playing too (look for the red arrow it highlights a high speed fighter plane)…….
Evo used this location in the magazine late last year
THE best section of road in N. Wales (IMO)
A light dusting of road salt……
A session of spirited driving rapidly drained the fuel reserves more quickly than anticipated and left the trip computer showing Leaving me with the threat of being stranded in a very remote part of Wales…..
Some very gentle driving (to conserve the very last drops of fuel) found me at Evos favourite filling staion.
Heading back home through some spectacular scenery
As the sun sets the temperatures started to plunge……..
All in all an excellent drive over some perfect roads and amongst some stunning scenery.
See you all in March (weather permitting !)

Good to see the weather didn't make any widows.
Looking forward to seeing it in March but do you want to ring Autoglass in anticipation (sorry again).

Steve
It already had a chip in the screen when I bought it, it's since received several heavy "hits" that luckily haven't done any further damage, but I'll hold off replacing it until we've done a NW run ............
Rob
I may need to get some Rejex off you (specifically to coat the wheels), would you bring a bottle up to the next NW run for me ?
