Something like...

mk1 Golf GTI - 1600 4 spd
Renault 5 GT turbo
Escort RS1600i - blk with silver stickers
M3 - old shape with twin headlights lhd (as all the legit ones were)
mk2 GTI 16v - oak grn like the one I did have but sold 2 years ago much to my regret.

Mentioned this to the missus and I've still got the Porsche if you know what I mean!!!
Listen to the Missus... we get so used to driving the 964 everyday that we take them from granted... try to own the other ones without letting go of the 964 even if it takes a few more years to do so... you will regret letting go of it.

No. In fact I think it can be quite a nice investment. Prices on the Dino have risen quite a bt since I was last in the market for one back 8-9 years. Wish I was smart enough to ****** one up, when a nice one can be had for under $100K. And I still hated myself for not picking up a 25th Anniversary Countach ~5 years ago for $78K. Oh well... I am sure many of us have those stories of if I only knew...

mk2 Ford Escort (slant nose RS2000 with the wide body X-pack kit)

Porsche 993 TT ... maybe 4-5 years time.

... come on, you know what one of these looks like!

Austin/MG/Williams Metro 6R4

...and eventually... one of these ...

A Speed Yellow on black 2wd widebody 964 with a normally aspirated Ninemeister 3.8 for the track. Dark grey BBS RS-GTs.
A Riviera Blue on black 993 C2S for the street.
Orange with black wheels 997 GT3.
Oh wait, you said be reasonable...oops.

If we include cars I never have a hope of owning, it's probably a Mclaren F1.

Other than that - a 993TT has always been high on the list, although I seem a lot less bothered about going fast these days and that makes it a bit pointless.
On the non-Porsche front, an Aston Martin would be nice as a daily car - Vantage would be lovely, but DB7 is more affordable. I'm liquidating my second house at the moment, and was tempted to look around if money was left over - but am beginning to realise that I will be paying the Chancellor the cost of a decent 964 in Captial Gains Tax. So I guess I won't be looking for anything - thieving bastards!

I haven't looked at prices of these for years. Then this thread got me thinking...then I found this. Is this normal? Ouch.

Vintage racing consumes my wish list most of the time, so:

1. Almost any McLaren with a V8
2. Alfa Romeo GTA, probably a clone
3. Porsche RSR

Street car:

1. New Aston Martin WOW
2. GT3 Mk 2 Prices are getting real nice!

I need an Aston Martin, really bad.

Why did I have to look... Price is OK, and quite close to me. Now I am tempted again.
