The DME relay is for the DME unit, not sure if that's the same size as the relay for the rear blower...

My cousin bought a new 993 lense from vertex I believe- any of the porsche parts sellers should have it (check vertex, pelican, etc...)

Good luck with the car & Enjoy!

Oh, sorry... I just meant that carrying a spare DME is always a good idea with these cars, as you know. Car went to the paint shop today and I'll get too looking for the headlight lens and shifter boot and she is ready to go!!!

Oilslick,

Congrats on the car! I was planning to go look at it Thursday night but it looks like you beat me to it... Did you do a PPI on it? If it's a good driver and no major problems, I think it was worth the price. The PO told me over the phone that it was LOUD. Does it have any exhaust mods other than the dual exhaust?

Speaking of incidentals...
From past experience I think you should allow more for incidentals. They always cost about three or four times what you think they should, as do most things .......and, of course theres always the hidden incidentals which wait until you've done about 100 miles before they announce their prescence.
Car looks nice though, the wheels do look good and once that turbo badge is gone you'll be good to go. Good luck with it.

I just bought a pair of the heater servos. Used ones are available from $50 up. The new ones I found (Pelican) were $250.00 each. I was all set to get used ones but Adrian's caution about doing that changed my mind. That's $500.00 right there for a rally simple fix with me supplying labor.

Incidentals are a constant, and few are fixed for less than $500. FWIW

Congrat's on starting a new car journey!

Finally got everything sorted on the car a couple of weeks ago. Just thought I'd post a few pics of it all done. $20,316.39 total investment. I love the looks, but it just isn't going to be fast enough for me, I'm afraid. I honestly think that my Honda S2000 is faster. This thing feels pretty heavy. I'll keep it for a couple more months and I think I'll probably sell it and get a real turbo. You can find a nice 996TT for $60k pretty easily. I drove a friends last weekend and I really liked it. It was a fun project, though!
