Actually, my wife got after me and I have used some sort of latex/nitrile glove on occasion. But I find they rip often and so I typically don't unless I really think about it.

I'll admit I use them now after seeing pictures of everyone else using them. I'm a believer now. I even put them on 3 layers deep for oil changes. Protects you from the hot oil and you can peel one layer off after each oil dump and you're ready to go. I hate having to wash my hands everytime I need to open a new beer.

Looking at the action shot, it reminds me of the line from Tommy Boy:
