Too bad I didn't see this post earlier. You want great shifting? Run steel syncros. I am spoiled by them so badly that when I had to put a stock trans in my car for Daytona, I constantly beat the syncros, no matter how slowly I thought that I was shifting.

Steel synchs are on my list, but I hope mine are good for another few seasons. I am thinking tranny and engine rebuild in 2009. I have around 90 track hours on them and not sure what the prior owner had, could be the same.
