£81 and dropping! Whoo-hoo!

Perhaps we should approach him for a group buy/shared postage?

I asked what discount he would do on two units and he only moved $15 or so on the postage. To be honest, at that price we might knock off a bit only to have all the pain of gathering payments, etc, etc... He must know he is pretty cheap in our markets. Of course if you are volunteering... ;-)

I did the group buy for the dash board dial trims and believe me it is a lot of work.

Cheers,

David

Iain,

How did you fix the ballasts? did you use a load of velcro? Any ideas?

Cheers,

David

I ended up using self adhesive velcro to fix my ballasts - it seems perfectly fine and doesn't cause any lasting changes on the car.

As for replacement bulbs, I thought I saw he was selling just those as well, again at much lower prices than you could get in the UK. At this price, to be honest, I would be tempted to get another kit and keep it for spares!

Of course you could have approached a UK seller and had a warranty and free delivery for virtually the same money! I hope UK buyers have factored in 3-5% import duty + vat?

Ace, we know you sell car parts as you've mentioned on other forums, the prices can't be beaten, I know I've looked.

Bi-Xeon??? or single?

Kevin

I got lucky, no import or vat duties on mine. Got package marked as a gift to avoid this.....

BTW Thanks for your reply Iain. I do hope to get my car out on a meet sometime in the new year when I'm finished putting it back together........

Ianin - thanks - great minds think alike!

I'll ask the seller.

Ace - show us the UK shop that can do these prices and we'll shop there. I've never seen them that cheap and given that these parts all come out of China it makes sense to move back down the distribution chain as far as possible....

Cheers,

David

We sell them to porker owners for £125 all inclusive. Given a 1 year guarantee and next day delivery I think that makes very good sense. The problem comes when 6 months down the line a ballast falls out of bed and the supplier in China wants it back at your cost before he'll send a replacement!

I didn't know you could get them so reasonable in the UK. Last time I looked it was 2 hunerd and something.

TBH for all of 20 quid difference, I think I would perhaps support a Uk-based outfit rather than sending the cash to a random Chinese fleabayer (even if the profits are being ploughed into a maroon 993 )

We don't make profits. We're registered as a charity, any 'income' is spent making adults happy hooning around a track to keep them off the streets.
