It's pretty straightforward. Convert the Tip equipped car into cash. Take cash to seller of manual car. Conversion done, just like the factory intended. Hands...still clean.

I did it....put in a 993 LSD 6-speed. I've got a list of bits and bobs needed. Email me and I'll send it to you. Unless you've got a really super nice car...you may want to take C4's advice.

I considered doing the exact same thing. Talked to a number of specialists, and they all recommended against it, unless you are building a mostly track car. There are too many electronic issues to do as well as the mechanical bits.

Just buy a manual, and you will have twins.

...believe me I wouldn't be looking to do this if I wasn't in Hong Kong. Almost all 964's are auto here & if by some miracle a manual does appear it's normally a dog ! So just wanted to get an idea.

How about a Ruf EKS trans. You get a manual trans but need only one pedal. All the electronics and hydraulics are in their system and brain. I think the only line youwould have to run is a hrdraulic line to the slave sylinder. Cool setup.

This may be a blasphemous statement, but wouldn't it be easier to just sell your Tip car and get one just like it, but in manual?? My friend did this with his Audi S4, and did not regret it.

I can totally understand your situation....it's the same here in Taiwan. More than 90% of C2 are tip, so I bought a C4.
