At the time I could'nt locate an RSA decklid so I purchased an 89 Carrera lid from PartsHeaven. As you can see from the pics it is not an identical match on the radius and the side gap is a little large but it was close enough for me. The hinges did not match up so we just drilled into the new lid and used the same hinge. I can now reuse the old lid in the future if I choose. Joel at PCA gave me a part no. to adapt the hinges but I gave up on this. You can read my posting and his response there if you desire. There is also a way to override the warning light if you do this. Unfortunately, 90 cars are different than 91-94 on how you disable this light. I believe I paid $800 or so for the lid and the respray was another $700 ior $800. Not cheap. Thanks and good luck. This is the fiirst time to post pics so they may come under later posting.

Nice conversion. I had no idea the gaps were not the same. I guess you could find a C2 deck lid and take out the power spoiler and refit the Carrera tail to it for a more perfect fit.

The RSA tails also do not have a rear wiper plug location making them easy to see. As for performance any whale tale will work great on the C2.

Also you can just pull the bulb on the tail warning light. I did the plug conversion, but still can faintly hear the realy click on when the old tail would be going up and down. But with a seondary by pass it is pretty hard to hear.

How did the MA Shaw spoiler fit? Were you happy with the result vs a stock RSA Spoiler?

I had an original 3.2 wing / decklid fitted to my 1991 C2. Later I swapped it for my current carbon wing-***-decklid that has exactly the same shape as the 3.2 liter but wheighs only 4kg instead of 20kg.

What CF deck lid *** wing did you go with? Do you have any pics? Thanks.

I have a fiberglass MA Shaw 3.8 RS tail and the fit stinks. I had to repair the latch mount twice , It delaminated. I finally fix the problem with some super strong structural epoxy.

Also have directions to jump the moveable tail connector so the light will not activate. Regards, Roy

Mike,

I would be interested in the entire set up for my white 1990 C2. I have sent you a P.M. Thank you very much . Hope to hear from you soon.

Got any pics? I'd also like to see how those 996 wheels look on a 964.
