Default '94 Radio Info

I just picked up a '94 rs.

The oem radio does not shut off when the key is out of the ignition. It remains on? This is the oem porsche tape deck.
If i let the car sit for more than 1day it will drain the battery.. What should I look at to try to fix this? I do not want to install a kill switch or anything into the vehicle since I like my radio functions.. TIA

I guess it means it's been wired direct to the battery rather than via the ignition switch circuit. I think most radios have two power connectors - one which is from the battery (so it remembers radio stations when the ignition is switched off) and one which is via the ignition (so it switches off with the ignition). Sounds like yours are both connected direct to the battery.

Interesting.. I will have a look into it today! I hope that it is something simple that I can fix.
Very annoying to have the battery die out on me.
