Hehe well it's gone down to 1200rpm. So it was partially a DME problem. My mini xmas tree effect (Battery and cab top warning lights coming on) is back. I guess it's ok to drive back to LA.
Thanks for the tow offer though.

Guessing/"dart throwing" NOT allowed on Rennlist, ONLY proper troubleshooting:

To "see" what NOT to do, i.e. too much "dart throwing" and/or let's "roll the dice" type
of troubleshooting to "pick the part" to replace.

Bottom line: Avoid wasting time & money by doing proper analytical troubleshooting,
besides having to drive a poorly running 964 with an ongoing problem.
