Ok, good deal. In approx. 60 days, You guys can expect a bump on this post and I'll let those interested know that the plug w/ wire is ready. I'm using 6 conductor as per Jason's suggestion.

FYI, I'll be making some extra plugs to make a few complete scantool systems (9 pin serial cable, interface card, 19 pin plug) for new Rennlist members, etc. who find the need to own the tool. I don't have a price for these complete systems, but they'll be reasonable.

At this time there's no problem with additional orders because as it turns out Emachineshop has a limitation on the thickness of the cut for the indexing slots. Why, I don't know, but this meant I would have to mount each piece and take a few cuts on my mill to get the shape. That being the case, I decided to make the whole part in my shop, a few more cuts and it's done. No biggee, it's just I'm not quitting my day job, and I'm committed for the next 50 days or so.

OK, I am pretty new to this forum so I am going to ask a dumb question.....what do you do with the other end? I take it goes to a computer? If so, how, and what software do you use?
