Wink Saturday blast - R32 eating!

Dear All

Had a great weekend with my 89 C4 - took it out for a blast around the A roads of Daventry, Corby, Northants.

I ended up going to the Gaydon museum (ex BL site) to see the Ignossis gathering - lots of Mini Cooper Mk 1s to drool over!

Anyway, the trip home was a bit of a detour as I felt the need to clear the cobwebs of the 3.6!

Have any of you noticed how the 964 "attracts" lads in performance cars wanting to race. Now I don't condone this on her Majesty's roads but I did have a nice tussle with a Golf R32. You will be all pleased to know that my baseball capped friend could not get past me on the dual carriage blasts and appeared to have traction "issues" compared to the C4 around the twisty bits!

Very irresponsible I know, but i am sure others of you have some nice stories to tell!

The R32 is a very nice car with good feel and power. Maybe his tires were on the way out. Mine was pretty quick around the twisties... but I never ran it againts the 964.

Take it easy on the roads and book some time at the track

Oh, you mean the Golf! I thought you meant an R32 Skyline - now beating that anywhere would have been some achievement!
