Default "cricket" noise from dash

TIA for any help on this. I tried search but no luck.

I get a noise from the dash while driving, sounds just like a cricket. At first, I actually thought I had a cricket in my dash, LOL. It starts after a good drive and stays on even while idling. I'm guessing my odo is goin or something but it works fine. Just turned over 100K BTW.

NE1 have any ideas? Car is going in for full brake refresh Weds and I'll ask my tech but just curious.

Or one of your front blower fan bearings is packing it in. Stick your ear under the dash to see if it's the CCU fan, and under the luggage compartment lid at the base of the windscreen to see if it's one of the blower fans.

Try putting your CCU fan on 2 or 3 and see if goes away. If so, it is one or both of your blower hubs. BTw, mine's been doing that for years. I'm just too cheap to get new blowers.
