About a week ago there was some discussion about cat by-passes. At the time I noted that i had one installed, but had reservations about passing emissions testing without a catalytic converter. My mechanic had given me assurances the it would be no problem for a well tuned 964 engine, but I must admit I had serious doubts.
Car was tested last week and passed with flying colors
Hydrocarbons State Std (MD) 220PPM Inspection Reading 129PPM

The cat bypasses that I've seen from Danske, etc, LOOK like a cat... They have the bung for the O2 sensor and they are shaped like a cat. My guess would be that a casual visual check wouldn't be able to distinguish one of those from an actual cat. Maybe wishful thinking on my part?
