Disconnecting the immobiliser
Does anyone know how to easily disconnect the immobiliser, i have the PA1000 with the key fob thing that slots in near the indicator stalk.
I mentioned in a previous thread that ocassionally when the engine heater fan runs when the car is switched off then the car won't start again as it activates the immobiliser. So i have to wait until the fan cuts out before starting the car, it happened again today and it is a pain. This is quite bad as it could happen if i stalled the car in traffic and there would be no way to start the car without waiting for that damn fan to stop running!
I've tried a search on this but can't find the procedure anywhere. I'm guessing the immobiliser cuts power to the starter? is it easy to jumper this somehow?
Or should i get a decent alarm fitted instead, if so are their any recommendations in the North West of England?
cheers
Andy
