I'd love to have one them Cup Cars. But I think I'd rather have $80k. That discription doesn't do the car justice, 90% of it discribes any 1992 C2. And is it me or does the paint on the right door not match the rest of the car?

I have talked to the owner in the past. I do not know much about the car. It has been for sale once or twice in the past. I have also spoken to the the guy that bought the 500 mile christies car ... and have a few pictures. There is something to be said for a cup in road form ....

Did you and Steve Patti ever talk about your car? He was looking for a Andial car and I told him I thought yours was for sale.

I think I spoke with him also when i was looking around....The car sure does look and sound nice from it's description...Would be like a US street legal Carrera RS...but 80 K seems like alot of cash...Who knows? Maybe it will do it.

I am no expert, but I have owned two US Carerra Cups. I think he is asking a little too much for the car. I would think that car, in excellent condition, should be in the upper 60s

The great thing about the car market .. or any market really ... is that prices are determined by what someone is willing to pay and the price where someone is willing to sell. Good luck buying one in the 60's in this condition. I had 5 people willing to pay in the mid 70's for my car ... but decided not to sell it. I know of two cars that have sold between 75k and 85k in the last two months. For some reason there has been alot of interest in these cars over the past year ... I am not sure why? Maybe people want to race them in D stock class ... I dont know.

I've always wondered about this myself. I have also wondered how many "street trim" USA cups are left. My "street trim" USA cup has 25,xxx miles, nearly all on the street. But surely a car with 4,xxx miles deserves a premium, regardless of whether it has a cage, or am I full of it?

My (obviously biased) opinion is that ALL the cup cars are incredibly undervalued, and prices cannot help but go up.

Have a look here:

http://www.porsche964.co.uk/variants/confusion.htm

Being in the market, and selling my 993 C2S, I don't find this car interesting simply because I don't want it as a museum piece, I want one to race. I also am lucky to have the first right to one that will be for sale soon.
