Very comprehensive.

You may also want to include the left and right side fuel rail lines, high pressure AC line, low pressure AC line, and that litle compressor ground cable that if disconnected accidentally (when you are trying to remove the oil filter) will disable the compresor.

Thanks for your efforts, though. I have printed a copy for my own use.
Ha! Good one. I did wonder whether you were having me on. I was tempted to reply along the lines of "You mean the muffler bearings that commutate with the split gear flange nipple?".

OK ... will do. Which of the two AC lines is the high pressure one? Is it the line nearest the rear of the vehicle?

Where are the fuel rail lines in the photo?

Are the alternator and cooling fan pulley labels swapped? I thought the alternator shaft went through the cooling fan pulley.

Here's a pic of the compressor showing which AC line is which, and also show which test port too.

Good question: there are two diagrams in Adrian's book, and the labelling is different between them, so I'm not sure.

Hello Julian,

Would it be ok if I used your labelled engine image in some online notes I am preparing for my students? I am a college lecturer at North Highland College, Thurso, Scotland, and the notes would only be visible by BEng and BSc degree students here and at our partner UHI courses (only if enrolled on this course)

Thanks

Of course! Please feel free to use it as you see fit

Julian
