Just wanted to report that I had exactly the same problem as DaveK (wobbling steering under braking). I just replaced my front rotors and pads today and it solved the shudder. Steady as a rock!

If the problem comes back for anyone quickly could you post what brand you bought? My shimmy came back relatively quickly with my new zimmerman rotors.
I'm going to take my old ones, that have plenty of meat (but cuse the steering to wobble), and tru them myself (minimize material lost since I'd be doing the work). Then swap them on. I figure I can get max life this way, even if I have to keep swapping back and forth.
I guess I'm a bit hard on the brakes. /shrug
