Default paint pen for chips

Tried a paint pen called AutoSharp Pen sold by www.autovisuals.com for $17. (no affliation). They use factory paint codes for match-ups. Great for those little chips that the finger nail brush you get with a dealer touch up tube is too big to do a clean job. The pen tip is about the size of a medium felt pen.

Looks handy. Was the color a good match?

perfect. Just gave them my Porsche color code and that's what they sent. It's pretty handy to fill in those annoying minute chips around the door edge and front bumper. I thought it was worth the $17

Does anyone have experience with the Paint Pen Kit from https://www.paintscratch.com? I have read that a lot of people purchase the kits from them but nobody has mentioned using a pen (that I have found...).

Cheers, Pat

Don't know about the pens specifically, but I've seen guys on other car forums talk about Paintscratch and all were very happy with the materials they got and the color match.

I ordered some touch-up and clear coat from these guys:
https://www.automotivetouchup.com/

... I'll report if it's any good. The prices are good, no tax, and cheap shipping.

I just ordered two of these pens (one for my RSA and the other for my M Coupe). Then after I ordered, I checked out the other website mentioned in this thread and found they were cheaper ($12.95 vs. $17.99). Oh well, its only a few dollars difference!

Sometimes I'll use an ultra fine point black sharpie to hide the chip until I can get to it with touchup paint. It lasts for 3 to 4 washes then you have to do it again. It doesn't match perfectly but looks better than the light colored undercoat.

I use paintscratch.com. I'm very happy with their products and love their paint pens.
