Default Help with Switching a Fuse

There is a small fan behind the dash somewhere that doesn't turn offon my 93 964 - even when the car is off (and this drains my battery). I've seen previous posts about this and I think that this is not uncommon. Instead of addressing the problem, I'm looking for a short-term fix to install some sort of on/off switch for the fuse (it is the #1 fuse).

Does anyone have an ideas of how I can do this?
TIA

You can buy two of the blade-type (male) crimp-on electrical fittings; they look just like the blades of the fuse, and can slide into each of the sockets. Crimp them onto some wire that is interrupted by your switch, which then goes to an in-line fuse holder. That way you have your switch, and retain your fuse. If you run enough wire, you can run your switch to the passenger compartment/dash so you don't have to pop your hood every time, too.

Thanks - I wil try that. Any good places to run the wire into the passenger compartment?

BTW - my fan never turns off - it will stay on until it drains the battery.

You would be better off to fix your CCU properly. If you search the posts for CCU there is one where it explains how to replace the transistor in it so the fan shuts off. Or send it off to Lorne, who will fix it for you.
