Default Testing a LWF stalling solution

So my RSA does not have air conditioning and not much of a LWF induced stalling problem so I'm in need of two (preferably with stock motors) USA based owners to help with testing before I start duplicating eproms for everyone. I'm looking for a MY89 or MY90 having a DME control unit with 911 part number and a MY91+ having a DME control unit with a 964 part number. You also need to have AC. If interested please contact me with a PM and once I find two people I will delete this thread.

Thanks,
--jason

If you look under your drivers seat you will see the DME control unit and at very front on the top of the case there should be a purple (color could be different?) sticker with the Porsche part number. You don't need to remove the control unit from under the seat to see the sticker.

I have a 91 with a 964 part number. I'd be more than happy to help you out, Jason.

At present I don't have a stock chip; if that matters (except yours, of course).

Cheers,
Dave

All 964 DMEs are basically the same except for the EPROM, i.e. some have the
fuel quality switch & others don't but not an issue. Thus, most/all 964 owners
with a LWF should be able to help Jason do the evaluation.

Check here for the typical 964 Bosch DME part numbers which
can be used for the evaluation:

Loren, the voice of P-car knowledge has arrived! Jason, are you in NW CT or in MA? I'm 45 minutes away and other than 8/17 on (3 days at Summit point) i'll be around.. The 964 will be at Limerock on 8/26 for some "cleaning out" but will be a street car for a month afterwards..

Re: our conversation via PM my part # is 911.618.124.01. According to 'the good book' that's from an 89.

This will be a great contribution by Jason in solving the LWF idle undershoot
problem (stalling) by either re-writing the u-P code for the dynamic 964 idle
system or by increasing the injector turn-on point, i.e. > ~ 1100 - 1300 RPMs.

Jason,
My 90 C2 has the 911.618.124.01 DME with the LWF + Andial "weight". I don't have a stalling problem, but if you want to try a chip in it, it's okay with me. (oh yeah, and it has AC)
