Got a leaky left taillight and it's causing the turn signal to fail consistently after I wash the car. I got tired of it yesterday and searched out a few suppliers. List price is ~$275/ $259 left/right, but Sunset was only ~$175/159 for new OEM parts. I've heard they had really good prices but last time I called them it was almost dead nuts on with the local dealer so I stayed local. This time, no comparison. They should be here by the end of the week. Oh yeah, they had them IN STOCK!!!
Hawk - did you price out the center reflector? I was just about to embark on a refinishing of my lenses as I paid about $800 for the set I put on my 91, but if that doesn't meet my standards then $500+/- doesn't sound so bad for new..
I paid more from them 3 years ago for the same parts
Still the best price I found.
Where you been Geoff ?? Get moved in the new house yet? Waiting for the pictures
So $596.81 for all three pieces + shipping. I'm still going to try the refinish, already bought the krylon Red stained glass paint and the clear.. see how they look when done.
Even if you decide to buy new reflectors you might still want to hit them with a UV-inhibiting clear coat to prevent the red from turning pink after a few months in the sun? (it should work...)
I almost should get the center also, so they all match. I have small cracks on the edges, but they aren't that bad.
Rick and Jim; been real busy moving, and getting used to feedings again. Meghan is 6 weeks today and doing very well. I'll start up the posts again Friday as we finally got internet Monday night.
1. They refuse to take a non USA credit card. I have no idea why. Its a problem I have not run into anywhere else in the world.
2. They insist on shipping UPS, which is by far the worst courier on the planet.
