The best shocks depend on what you want to do with the car. I would also suggest finding another 964 with the spring/shocks that you think you like so that you can try them before you commit to them. I use my car on the street only but was unhappy with the ride hight. I lowered it with H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. The ride is stiffer than stock but I like it.
