Glovebox removal
Is anyone able to give me directions/point to where this is covered as to how to remove the glovebox on a US C4? It does have the passenger side airbag.
I just want to take it out, work on the audio behind it and then put it back in.....
I know it may be real obvious, but couldn't find it on a search or in the books and want to make sure I don't screw up (again!)
Thanks

Thanks Pete, just wanted to make sure there were no surprises in a job I've only got 30 or so minutes for tomorrow.
And Hawk - yeah I guess it was a dumb question but thanks for the real useful answer

Hi Howard, yes I'm hopeful there will be no need to use a dremel this time!!!!
Have you been on any more runs up the coast on highway one recently? Pictures welcome (if only to make we land locked folks jealous!)

Not recently...hwy1 has a section between where I live and Half Moon Bay (where Tom W. resides) called "Devils Slide". Every few years this section of the road decides to take a dump into the ocean. Its last excusrion into the Pacific was fairly recently during the rains we had here. I now have to go all the way around (about an hour) to get back onto hwy1!
...Still its an excuse to go through the redwoods on the twisty Santa Cruz Mountain roads (which I did two weeks ago coming home from Monterey - it was still a blast even in the ML!)
Cheers mate!

From memory:
open the door
remove 3 (or 4?) screws along the bottom edge of the door
unhook the door check-strap and remove the door
remove one screw from each side wall
remove 1 (perhaps 2?) screws from the top
pull the glove-box liner forwards slightly
unplug the connections for the light
remove the glovebox liner.
Marc.
p.s. as an aside, removing the glovebox liner does not give you any more room to work on the stereo because of the support struts inside the dashboard get in the way so if I were you, I'd not bother.

Thanks Marc, and you may have just saved me the effort for today - although I'm gonna still need to do it soon as I want to hardwire a V1. Many Thanks
