If the wrench didn't do a good job, there is a possibility that the valves get loose again. Have you felt any difference in the engine besides the noise. Does it get louder with higher RPM etc?
Which part of CA are you in? There have been a few good wrench recommendations in SF,LA and SD. Perhaps you could go get a 2nd opinion elsewhere?
