Default SE Trackday?

We have fairly regular SE meets, so I was just wondering how many people would be interested in attending a track day.

I know some people regularly attend them anyway - but I never have and I feel like I really should attend at least one. Of course - since we'd have to travel to the track anyway, it wouldn't necessarily be just the SE regulars.

So - who would fancy making one of the future SE meets a SE trackday?

I'd be up for this Dave - even though I've never done a SE meet! Can I propose Brands?

Hi Dave, great to see you last week, I've had a track day at Goodwood, with Camtune, fantastic. I wonder what it would cost to hire the track, with medics and marshalls, and how many would attend ?

I wasn't actually thinking of hiring a track exclusively for us. I was thinking that perhaps we could get coordinated so that we all attended a pre-arranged track day on the same date and went together.

However - the overwhelming response makes me think perhaps not!

Don't be negtive Dave, I'd like to venture along......its all time and money related...when puts money pressure on me, as track days tend to eat tyres......ho ho ....and brakes, remember I've just been through that scenario....

The brakes are at the back of my mind actually. JZ told me I've got about 2mm / 5k miles left on the front before I need new pads. But I suspect that might mean one track day......

i'd be up for a track day this summer, its a great idea Dave. Be fantastic to see 10+ of your renn-friends on track in 964's. To hire a track exclusively would be a little costly for me, but if we got numbers then spoke to a few of the trackday companies (easytrack.co.uk, goldtrack.co.uk) early enough we could make sure we all got places on the same event - and i'd estimate it would cost at most £200

I am not sure where my car is going to be but if I have to I will beat you all in the Freelander. Its diesel don't you know, so huge torque! Ha ha.

If my car is in UK I would be happy to take part...oh yeah and we need a track that can accommodate 107 decibles......

You don't need an excuse - you've been to enough SE meets that we all know you're slow already.

That'll teach you to take the **** out of my service costs.

I'd be up for a track day - Brands would be good, and they seem to be less fussy about noise there as well.

You could always hire Bruntingthorpe for the day. We (Total 911) have before, and you get the place to yourself pretty much. No restrictions of any kind. No marshalls. Just a track.
