So did anyone else find that these light up the large gauges TERRIBLY? I was sad to remove all the LED's and re-install the light bulbs. The tachometer & speedo looked especially poor with the lower left and lower right being bright, the top portion was dim. Very inconsistent illumination of the entire face. Not good... the gas gauge looks good because it's so small and not lit around the circumference... as shown above, but the other gauges were not so good!

They are not brilliant but I am happy with mine. My only issue is my rev counter needle is virtualy not lit at all.
There are a coupke of bright spots on the larger guages which i can live with

I installed mine and am generally happy with the result, but I ordered the bright white and the gauges look quite blue... I emailed the vendor and he indicated that this is normal... my clock looks great (white) but the others look almost VW blue - I was wondering if I got a mixed bag of LEDs...
I suppose I could try putting some in other sockets, but haven't gotten around to it.
Anyone else have this phenomenon? The vendor was PorscheLEDs.Com
Thanks!

Do you guys feel that you want a brighter light? I always run my dash lights dim to the point of nearly off. If I rotate the dimmer any further down, my lights go out. I guess it's the pilot in me but I've always felt I could see outside the car better, with better night adaptation, with low level interior lighting. My wife's new Prius is so bright at all levels I can barely stand to drive the car at night.

The light level is fine with me, personally - I was more concerned with getting all my gauges and dash lights the same color tone (they were mix & match from the factory anyhow!)

Another interesting (if you can call it that) thing with the LED's - on a C4 if you replace the ABS warning light with an LED, it will flicker every time you come to a stop then start driving - the ABS light will flicker once! Quite distracting! This doesn't occur with a normal bulb. Anyhow, I now have a bag of LED's!!! Not for me I guess
