Guys,

The weather forecast is for heavy rain, As I have to travel over a 120 miles each way I'm inclined to put this off for a while....If it appears to be ok in the morning I'll start off, but if it's pi55ing down I'm inclined to stay put...........
Any thoughts?

Kevin.

Kevin,

See what it's like in the morning. As you say, BBC says heavy rain in Kingston area and for me, too, in Milton Keynes. I'll have a look outside the window in the morning and see what it looks like.

Shame to miss it since I WILL have my car!!!

We live in hopes!!

Regards

Dave

Well, I'll check in the morning. Since I don't have the 964 this weekend I'm only coming to see Dave's car and to give a CD to Kevin. Since I'm sure I'll see Dave's car before the end of the year (which is when I'd get mine painted) and since I could mail the CD to Kevin, it won't take much to put me off.

Plus - if we postpone it - I can turn up with a new clutch. Might not mean much to you lot, but I'm strangely excited by it! (Looking forward to my re-furbed wheels too).

Guys, if it is rain, as forecast, lets re-appoint. Can I propose Sunday 4th, June. This ties in nicely with the Goodwood supercars breakfast meeting. Meet here early, coffee and croissants, then a 'blast' to the holy grounds in West Sussex.
Otherwise, lets do both.

Raymond,

The 4th June isn't great (at least for me) since it's also the day of the PCGB R19 Concours at Basildon Park, Reading. The 964 Registry are trying to get a good 964 attendance at that event. I'm still up for tomorrow as long as it's not coming down in stair rods.

Regards

Milton Keynes is damp under foot this morning (6am) but no rain (yet!). The BBC forecast hasn't changed - still heavy rain. Does someone want to make a decision?? Go or no go??

No Rain here in Essex yet, I've looked at teh met office forcast for London today on their weather radar, and it loks like it should be raining by 10:00, but if the radar pic is anything to go by, it should be clear after that in a couple of hours??? it is only supposed to be light.

In that case I'm easy I don't mind going.....I'm off on June 4th, so maybe we caould do that date also for those that couldn't make this one?

Kevin,

As you say, the radar looks like it may miss much of Surrey as it's heading NE from the South West. Even so, most of it looks light to moderate.

I definitely can't make the 4th June so I'm pretty set of going today. I really want to give the car an outing so I'm going to bite the bullet. Bacon sarnies, here we come!!!

Regards

Good luck guys, Looks like it may be a bit wet. Hopefully see you next time.

I should be able to make the 4th and I saw that Goodwood will be doing a Porsche morning later in the year.

Cheers,

David

The German Sports Cars breakfast is on 6th August. How about we plan the next meet to coincide with that?? Perhaps, for once, Raymond can get out of the bacon sarnie routine??? It'll mean an early start, particularly for the Essex and Bucks contingent, but perhaps a worthwhile occasion?? What say you???

Regards

Chaps, would you mind if I bring my RUF wanabe along. Goodwood is only a few minutes from my folks house, so I can kill two birds with one stone. Assuming of course I survive Le Mans and the wife is still speaking to me!!

Dave might be worth asking whether any smarties might want to partake?
