H5 Bulbs Vision+ vs Silverstar (SYL)
I did this test a few months back when I cracked my H4 lens and had to temporarily replace the headlights with the H5 again.
On the left you see the vision+ from Philips. The right is the Sylvania Silverstars. Other than the slight more bluish hue of the Silverstar, the Vision+ 50 gives out as much light but has a longer life than the 250hrs rated on the Sylvania. Also for the Sylvania Silverstar is NOT the same as the OSRAM silverstar, which is rated to be equal to the Philips Vision+50 at autoexpress tests. Apparently the US Silverstar just outputs more glare and shortens life to get the white look. (Daniel Stern does a writeup on it)
Just for those looking for better bulb replacement on the H5 instead of upgrading to the H4. The Philips is also cheaper for 9004 size.
