Default What do I need for a top end?

I've got a decent leak where one of the cylinders meets the case so it looks like it's time to drop the engine and replace the gaskets. I'm not going to replace the Ps & Cs, but I do want to replace any of the perishables in there while we have it apart. I've had a look at PET and Pelican's web site, but I'm still unsure of which parts I will need. Anybody done a top end rebuild lately and still have the parts list? Thanks.

Brian

What you need for a reseal is not the same as the next person . If you need nothing more that a cylinder base seal , thats all you need .

At a minimum you'll need a the cylinder head gasket set (about $250), which has all the gaskets basically outside the case. Includes head gaskets, cylinder o-rings, oil return tube o-rings, valve cover gaskets, chain cover gaskets, etc...(even stem seals).... While you're in there, you'll probably want to replace the old dilavar head studs....... maybe new rings.........
