D90 Tyre Pressures for Track
All,
Looking for recommendations on tyre pressures for track use.
Still on the original D90s + Contisports on a 90C2.
Doing my first track day next weekend, in the UK, expect ambient temp around 12-14 centigrade, hoping for a dry track!
Please state whether pressures are cold or hot.
Thanks,
Kevin.

I guess you run 34/38-40 normally? When it is winter I would probably go for the standard pressures initially, and then monitor. Its always hard to tell in advance. I presume you have a tyre gauge to take with you?

Kevin - PCGB event on Saturday? If so, I'm there too!
e pressures, I'd suggest to keep them at road pressures all day; so if they get hot and increase, let air out to bring them back to 'standard'. That's what I do...
My contis used to get a bit more slippery (but still predictable) when very warm; I think the rears got to about 45psi at the 'ring before I bled them. (Normal for me is 36).

Thanks Rob and Christer,
I will have a gauge with me and yes, I am going to Castle Combe.
First trackday EVER so very excited, went to Demon Tweeks and got my helmet at the weekend.
Rob, I will need you and John B to keep reminding me about my little "spin" last year to keep my feet on the ground, when I called for Track Day insurance they told me that Castle Combe has the second highest claim rate in the country!-most "events" taking place at Avon Rise on the approach to Quarry.
See you there!
Cheers,
Kevin.
