Default brake bleeding on 90 C4

I have rebuilt my brakes, replaced the discs, pads and front flexible brake lines with stainless, as one was on its was out.

So, can I bleed the brakes using the old traditonal method of going to each corner, getting someone to pump the brakes, open closing the bleed screws etc.

I have read some of these threads and as unsual, you lot go off in all directions :-) the answer is burried somewhere.

Is there anything else that needs to be bleed on C4 after or before I go tackle the calipers on each corner?

Cheers

Mark

The process is somewhat complex. Do you have Adrien Streather's book on for the 964? That is a great resource that every 964 owner should have. The process is clearly layed in the book.

You should use a power bleeder such as a Motive to assist with the job, pumping the pedal is not effective for a C4 bleed due to the system style.

Whatever you do, don't bleed the brakes the usual way! The best way is to use a Motive Power Bleeder.
Here's Garrett376's DIY:

Thanks all, the girlfriend can go shopping and not wait for me to do the brakes. I guess I need to order a bleeder then.

Ok boys. I'm not a total idiot. But I have read Adrians book a few times. Then took a look in C4 ready to to bleed when the pressure bledder arrives. I found the accumulator bleeder, the solenoid bleeder etc. Now, where the heck is this "plug" on the hydraulic pump. And what Hydraulic pump, the ABS pump? or is it the plug on solenoid. Thanks... serious head scratching going on here.

Panic over, found it. Hidden under a plastic panel right inside the boot / trunck / hood.
