Does anyone here know if I can export my 964 (1990 C2) from the US to Germany? If so, what do I need to do and if it is even snsible to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Contact Leland Pate on the 993 board. I'm pretty sure he's going to Germany with his 993.

I know it can be done, I just sold my 90 C4 to an Ameican ex-pat living in Germany and he had the car shipped over. Sorry, I don't what you need to do on the German end to get the car in to the country. I know tht it cost right about $2k to ship it over via boat.

I've done this a couple of times in the past, the cheapest I've done was 650USD, herebelow is a quote I had from last November. Very good company to work with.

Standard car < 1.60m high
*Cars not exceeding 14cmb
Ocean Freight : USD 495 Per Unit;
*Cars not exceeding 17 cmb
Ocean Freight : USD 620 Per Unit;

Liner Terms (liner In And Out);
BAF (Bunker surcharge) 22.50% on the freight

Other charges:
Reception charges : 45.50 euro for units upto 2 ton
Delivery order : 10 euro

Local Costs at Brunswick not included.(will be +- 100 usd)

At arrival in Zeebrugge you also have to pay
1. import duties
2. VAT (BTW)
3. costs for clearance
