Because they are the heaviest wheels known to mankind. And that’s not a good thing
thanks. That makes sense from a racing or track perspective for sure. But I’m assuming most people are just regular drivers and would hardly notice any difference?
Edit: a quick search and it seems they are actually lighter than Speedlines which are really popular. At least among the turbo crowd.
All personal preference! Weight IS noticeable, especially in unsprung weight. I had black cup 1's (the Italian reproductions) and the rears are nearly 30 pounds. By switching to Fuchs I saved nearly 40 pounds in unsprung weight. That is a significant amount.
I think the most important factor is the look the owner wants! Some love Cup 1, turbo twist, BBS, RUF, Speedline, your line, my line....all preference.
Last, price. Some of these wheel sets (with new rubber) will set you back 5-7K easily. RUF are beautiful and have a clean/modern line to them. I'll also say, that I am GLAD we all have different (and sometimes the same) tastes. It adds variety and fun :-)

Thanks Eric! I may be biased, but in person it is absolutely insane looking.
Mr. Wolfe
@Greg Wolfe awesome car. I’m strongly considering the same 9Eleven headlights. I’m assuming those are the Raven SS in Satin Silver?
I’m also curious about the headlight ring in Chrome. Did you consider using your stock painted ring as well? i like the look of the chrome but what I can’t stand are the visible adjustment screws so I’ll probably stick with the painted rings.

Thank you. Yes, Raven S. I have thought about painted rings. I actually have a set that can be put on. I like the look of them with the polished barrels of the wheels, but I may go to painted barrels at some point and if I do, I will go with color matched rings.
