rs interiors, post your pics and inspire me!
I am trying to get inspired to convert my interior to rs style with the carpet kit, and door panels and DAS sport bar (coming this week from CDOC).
Post your pictures and inspire me! (please?)
Also, anyone think it's strange for me to convert from linen to black?

Sorry, I've been traveling.
Nope, they are plastic, not leather. Look pretty good, though. My car is not "all" leather any way so it's fine.
They were on when I got the car. I could check the receipts when I get home; if you're still interested.
Cheers,
Dave

We just ripped the interior out of Gary R's '78 911 SC track car and we guesstimate that we ripped out between 45 to 50 pounds. It was replaced by RS Door panels and RS carpet which we guesstimate weighed about 10 pounds ... net 35-40 pounds loss ... not bad.
The door panels were easy to install. The panels came with only 2 plastic plugs, which after install just wasn't holding the panel to the door good enough so we got some black coated stainless steel screws and cups to further secure the panels to the doors, which worked and looked great.
The old carpet removal was easy too. Putting the new carpet in was easy except for the fact that appbiz DOES NOT supply any directions. Most pieces are obvious as to their placement, whereas a couple are ... WTF !?!?!?!
I love the RS style carpet and have contemplated putting it in my 964 too ... but we heard from a reputable source ... that the 964 carpet replacement is not as easy as it was for the '78 SC. Also, bear in mind that, altho we did an excellent job on the carpet replacement, it was a race car that we were working on so the tolerence levels of the cuts were ... "good enuff for a race car" ... which would not cut the mustard for my 964.
I still haven't given up on the idea, but need to drill the reputable source as to the pitfalls of doing a DIY install of this carpet in a 964.

That's exactly how mine are installed, as well.
