Default spacer pics and advice

I have some rub from my last track day on my rear oil line and trailing arm and in the front a full lock. I searched and read up a ton on getting spacers, but I am curious as to how they look. Anyone have pictures of a 3mm/4mm/5mm spacer setup with 17" 7"/9" wheels?

My specific plan (check me on this guys) is
4mm spacer front and rear with steel lug and open nut upgrade on my 7"/9" 55mm offset cupII's. I have my car set to RS alignment/ride height w/ 2deg+/- of negative camber F and R.

I might do the steering upgrade to 10mm, but probably not right away.

Do you have the rear oil line that is flattened? My 91 has it but I read somewhere all the early ones didnt. My wheels would also rub probably if mine wasnt flat in a portion.

here's the wheels with spacers (rear only). Let me know if this isn't what you need. i have the wheel off for cleaning right now and can get other shots if you need them.

Geoff my tires look like they sit out as much or maybe even more then yours with 17"x9" w/47mm offset and no spacers. Maybe its the angle.

jimq, no I have the non-flattened oil line. I could swap it, but I am rubbing on the trailing arm too, so I am thinking I just need to spacer it out.

hawk, thx for the pics. I just wanted to make sure the wheels wouldn't stick out and look stupid. I already measured, but your pictures help sanity check me. Do you get any rubbing? What camber and tire sizes are ya running? Thanks for the help guys.

I'm running 9jx17, and 255/40x17 on the rear. I will continue to run those with the new tires soon to be ordered. I can't tell for sure what camber, but I'm due for the post-suspension swap alignment and will go with RS specs.

i have added spacers on my C2 because of tire size. I run 225x17 on 7 inch front and 275x17 on 9 inch rear, both are with a 52 mm offset. Tires are Hoosiers. I have 15 mm spacers on the front and 18 mm spacers on the rear. Even then I still get a very small amount of rub in the right rear on the trail arm and the secondary muffler. In the front i get rub on the rear inside body panel on full lock left and right. The rub only occurs ubder autocross conditions. I need to make the 10 mm steering spacer modification. I run 205x17 and 255x17 street tires and have no problems with these on. I have pics if needed.

Kenny: I have extra spacers left from the "old" Turtle. You can have them if you want to come pick them up. If you are nice and supply the beer or a bottle of wine, I'll even help pull the wheels and check the fit.
