I'd get a high heat enamel or powdercoat it. I was thinking about polishing or painting mine. I'm not sure which yet. A nice sating finish with a clearcoat would look good I think.

Other have said you should only go three ways... Black, Red or Yellow.

I did mine in silver...I have a black car.

I had the shop do mine while the engine is out. I'll ask what they used, I believe they do a lot of them.

I forgot silver... But then that's the stock color... Though yours looks better than new. I think the oroginals are just clearcoated silver. It looks like that's what mine is.

I was also thinking about going the serpentine belt route too.

Wow - they all look great!

I have read that you have to be careful painting of powder-coating as the clearance between the fan blade tips and housing is very small -- apply paint too thick and the fan won't spin freely. Has anyone who has done this encountered this problem?

Marc
p.s. Marc, after seeing your engine bay, I'm ashamed to post a pic. of mine!

Marc - Do you ever use your engine compartment for a spare dish when the rest of them are awaiting a wash? Talk about clean..... wow.

And of course that’s the downside. My Porsche has forgotten what wet roads look like...
Dry road conditions only. I’m a prisoner to the clean...
I dream of sloshing around one day in the wet gooey mud...
Now that would be fun...

Thanks for the compliments,
Marc...

Bill - your intake system looks like the later plastic type - I've not seen it painted before but it looks GREAT! What is it painted with?

Wow, I love Bill's red intake and fan. Very cool. It may not make it go faster, but sure does look good sitting there
