Default Monday knowledge time

It's time to figure out what you have learned over the past week(end); fess up now.

I learned 50+ people gathered together for spaghetti can really put away the wine. We can also get some interesting sauces (each participant could bring a sauce to get discounted admission). All courtesy of our PCA club. Careful what you ask for, as you can get more than you asked for. I got roped into judging sauces, but hey- I got to try them all before the rest of the hungry hounds I somehow also got roped into writing an article for the newsletter; but again, not a bad thing.

I did ask our resident DE chairman what tires he'd suggest and he said Michelin Pilot Sports. Claims the hobbyist DE and club racer winners seem to be running them, so why not me...

We have another ultrasound tomorrow, just to see things at 20 weeks. Docs are just playing it safe, and did not see anything last time, but the baby has grown significantly since then; just ask Stacey

We've agreed to start digging on the new house a few weeks earlier, so my time will be slim and none for the Porsche stuff that also needs to be done: valve adjustment, oil change, new tires, cleaner wheels, clear headlight protection, radio antennae solder, and a few others I can't remember.

So what about you?

I learned that french roads are a lot less crowded than english roads.

I learned that the french have pretty electronic signs over the road that show your registration and say "Hello" (Trop Vitesse does mean Hello doesn't it? ).

I learned that the guy buying my car isn't buying my car.

I learned that changing my oil level sensor is the dirtiest job I have done yet but really not that hard.

The only problem with the idea of the new one is that I didn't really feel it was suitable to post......

I learned over the weekend that the Florida Highway Patrol cars are pretty fast. I was enjoying a spirited ride playing between 90 and 115-120. Out of nowhere a trooper passed me like I was standin still.

I learned that the oil pump is very difficult to get apart. In the process, one of the bushings got buggered up. I hope that it can be replaced, or it's time for another oil pump .

I had a similar experience last night although it wasn't a police car. A Merc estate drew level with me on the motorway (don't know what model). I was doing a steady 90 and for around 15s we were matched for speed. Then all of a sudden he accelerated and disappeared like I'd stamped on the brakes. I was impressed.

This weekend I realised, no matter how often I tell, show or explain to a chef that we put pies in the combi-oven not the microwave, they will still 'ping' them when my back is turned.
Chef's vacancy in the near future, again!!

I learned that I live on the wrong side of the state. Pittsburgh Steelers - Superbowl Champs, Phila Eagles - Superbowl Chumps!

I learnt that trying to renovate tinware to avoid replacing it is a really mucky job. And if you do have to replace a piece, it is ridiculously expensive for what you get. It really is poor quality metal.

I learned that my car, and my driving ability, can easily put a smile on the face of a cute female passenger. These cars are meant for taking sweeping turns at high speeds.......Gotta love it when the car sticks like glue to the roadway.

Its only because of that expert suspension upgrade we did to your car. You should share the cute females with me for using my lift

I learned that a secondary bypass adds quite a few db's

This is going to take some getting used to.

Also the secondary weighs 22.5 lbs including brackets and bolts.
