Jim, I have spoken to Steve Patti before about getting a Europena car. That car, which was not for sale when I made my decision to buy the RSA is $65K FOB Munich, which will probably add another 3K to get it over here.

I would give Dan Jacobs at Hairy Dog Garage in Oxford, CT a call and see if he knows of one for sale that he has had his hands in. .

Does this mean my car has gone UP in value? Another happy day.

Hi A4
I spoke with Dave about it; its a 1990 and repainted. At that price I figured I can do better (and have been thinking about someihing a bit more prepared).
Thank you, though. Dave is a great guy

Hi
From a total cost of ownership (ugh - I sounded like a car sales guy there!) you are probably right, but its a pricey entry fee.
Know any around? My mechanic thinks it is one way to go but I am concerned about cost to buy and maintain (not that De with a prepped car won't be pricey as well).

Is Oliver selling the silver C2? (My PCA membership has lapsed so I can't view the mart)
For a DE car that you can still drive up to NHIS this will be tough to beat.

Jason,
It would appear so and under terrible circumstances. Very sorry to hear this news:

From the PCA Mart Race Cars section listing.....

Unfortunately I broke my back in an open wheel car, so my baby is up for sale. This car has dominated its class at Daytona, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Summit Point, Road Atlanta, Carolinas, Mosport, etc. It is the most developed 964 club racer thanks to Dan Jacobs, Fabspeed, Porsche Zentrum Muenchen, and others. Log book for E-class PCA and SVRA Group 10(AP) at the RS weight. If you want to win, this is your car.

I have a binder over 3” thick of development information. The car has more than I can list including 3 exhaust configurations, Porsche Motorsport brake cooling, Euro RS bumpers, custom headers, forged 18” BBS ($4,000 new) and much more. Engine and tranny are fresh, with new R&P, synchros, and new (not rebuilt) Porsche Motorsport limited slip. $45,900 including a spares package (axels, rotors, wheel bearings, bumper, etc).

I spoke with him this afternoon; not a lot of fun to break one's back. We did not dwell on it, but between the injury and having to (for now) stay out of stiffly sprung cars, its not fun.
Sounds like he plans to return to the track, though..
