I have just looked on euro car parts web site and they do cross drilled discs for your car at £65 each or std for £40 each. they are in Colchester behind the Merc dealer.

Just got mine from Design 911...Zimmerman, cross-drilled. Had to paint the hubs greay before fitting though (nice satisfying job though)

Ok,

I now have a reasonable quote from Oliver Pruss.

However, He isn't able to accept credit cards, only

international banking codes Swift/IBAN.

Anyone have experience of this, as I haven't the foggiest.

Kevin,
An IBAN number contains the bank, branch and account number in a single code. Not 100% sure if a standard UK online bank account will accept an IBAN number to make a transfer - you may have to go into your branch to do it. No doubt they will charge you a fortune to send money overseas and will sting you on the exchange rate.
If he won't accept credit cards why don't you suggest he sets up a PayPal account or something similar - makes life much easier for everyone.

I've had similar problems in dealing with Dieter Szurowski at Krimskramsshop - he just won't deal with Paypal or any other convenient method of payment. The last item I bought from him was only €30 - and my Bank wanted £21 to do a transfer!!! I finished up sending €30 in notes by registered post.

I don't know if it's a German thing, but they seem to have a great resistance to using PayPal. I know they charge 4% or so - and they take a week to transfer funds to your Bank - but it's incredibly convenient for international buyers, particularly for smallish items.

One day I'm sure the Banks might come to realise what customers actually want - I just don't know if I'll live that long.

Best regards

Dave

Hi Kevin. D'you really need drilled? Dearer, shorter-lasting if they crack, and probably not convincingly more fade resistant..

Need, hmm, define need in my instance, No I do not "need" (yeuch) them, but I do hanker after the look...

So you could argue I need them in as much as to satisfy a need as for any supposed performance gains...
