Question Grinding noise from NSR wheel at full lock - bearings? Driveshaft?

Hi folks, looks like another piece of 'maintenance' required soon. I'm hearing a quite subtle soft grinding from the back left wheel on full lock to the left only, especially at downhill junctions. It sounds like wheel rub, but I'm pretty sure there are no signs of rub in the arch. Bearings would be more of a moan at higher speeds, so I'm wondering if its driveshaft - altho I thought they clicked when worn..hmm.

Is there any troubleshooting I can do, or just wait for it to get louder?
Wouldn't mind trying to sort it - considering a relatively big trip to the Isle of Man this Easter..

Why on full lock - that doesn't make sense...unless you've got a LSD.

Sounds can be misleading. I'd make sure your power steering fluid is not low.

I think its when the suspension is compressed and lateral force applied together to the wheel - one part of my commute is a very sharp slow downhill left - and there it is - GRRRRR!. I exchanged/topped up my PAS last year. Hmm.

Another follow up post! Wouldn't want to be accused of Trolllism..

It was just low PAS fluid, despite being a grinding noise coming from the rear wheel. Why was that?
Anyway, I topped up the slightly low fluid level, and the noise has gone. Thanks Dave K..

Go figure, as some of you might say.
