Mechanical condition (1-10, 10 being highest): 5 when I got it, 10 now - I think the PO sold it so cheaply because of mechanical problems he couldn't figure out. The car sat for some time. First I replaced the starter and battery. Next I identified the problem using the great diagnostic tool from Durametrics as a bad fuel injector on #5. Replaced it and after other usual tuning and sorting (spark plug wires, valve adjustment, timing, etc.) the car runs great. Total cost of repairs (including the Durametric diagnostic tool) was $2,700.

Yes, I bought my Targa for $2000. However here is what I have had to do to it since purchase:

- Repair body damage to front left fender
- Replace taillights and reflector
- Polish paint (was very oxidized) by professional detailer
- Repaint Targa Bar
- Remove window tint from rear window
- Rebuild Targa Top Completely
- Replace decklid struts and hood struts
- Replace Brake Rotors/Pads
- Replace Oil Cooler
- Replace leaking oil return tube seals
- Replace Condenser Fan
- Replace DME Relay
- Valve Job / Case through bolts (leaking)
- Replace Stereo
- Repair broken power seat (cables and switches)
- Replace window motor (right side)
- Install door stop repair kit (really needs welding)
- Replace battery
- Alignment

I've also done the following aftermarket changes:

H&R Green Springs / Bilstein HD (this setup is way too stiff for Seattle)
Recaro Speed Seats (on order)
