Can anyone tell me what this hose is for and where it should connect? (See picture and arrows) I can't find anything in the manuals. Thought it might be headlight washer, but the other (RH) side uses a typical braided looking hose for it

Yes it is the battery vent. If you have a completly sealed battery, then it is just hanging aroound. If you do have a vented battery (like an Interstate), you should use it. There may be an adaptor required. I knew they should come with most batteries that need them.
