I did get a nice angle on the Turbo curves tonight. My Wife’s *** a lot smaller…but lacks those curves….
Do you notice the xenon lights!

You have a PCA sticker?

(not a fan of HID's in reflector housings, BTW)

Hey Ilko...

not a fan? Why?

standard lights are lousy... His HID's don't appear to have changed the appearance from the outside.

Or is it something to do with the reflector housing you mention? (BTW, aren't all lights in a reflector housing?)

Just curious, as it's a mod I have frequently thought about, but put down the bottom of my "to-do" list...

PS. By the way Ray, that is one wicked vehicle... subtle but very menacing...

John, HID's are unsafe in reflector housings. They bounce too much light outside the beam pattern and give glare to the driver of the vehicle, let alone oncoming traffic. That's why they are illegal in most countries.

Here's some further reading on the topic: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

I have to agree with ILKO, They are a pain in the butt.
Nothing worse than oncoming traffic from those lights.
Seems to be a popular mod for the rice burner crowd here in Canada.

Thanks for the prompt reply Ilko (BTW, what time there? get some sleep buddy!)

Watched the video and briefly read the linked website. Wow. I had no idea. I am going to read through the whole thing later tonight (it's midday and I'm at work at the moment).

Well, that mod just fell right off the bottom of my "to-do" list.

That's why I love this place, a fantastic place to get unbiased advice.

PS. Maybe one day soon someone will come up with a LED conversion kit including lenses!

Cheers and thanks aain Ilko

I'm wondering the same thing.. Can't be too long now.. Anyone have any leads?

As a side note, here in Sweden, the headlight washers are mandatory if you have HID lights as opposed to the normal halogens, where they are not mandatory...

Btw, Nice pictures Polman!

Interesting investigation about the xenon lamps. Mine have passed the yearly test by the car inspection. They are properly set, and never have any one flashed me on the roads. It would be ultimate to have other lenses, but that would totally put away the original look off a -93 Porsche . In relative early evening, I can drive for 20 minutes with out any oncoming traffic, we are only 22 people per km2 in this lovely country, and 0,0004 traffic Police officers per km2.…beat that!!
But I got your point Ilko, and will consider…

IIRC your car came with H4's stock vs the H5's we have here. Might be the reason why yours pass. I still find the old H1's with the 4 bulbs were the best lights and look stock with much better adjustability although they cost too much today to make it worth it.

Here in the US you can easily tell a bad HID light upgrade and it is annoying to drive with them behind you.

Here's an LED H4 set: http://www.virtualvillage.com/2-x-h4.../sku002510-298

I'm a little hesitant to test it though...
