coolair,
So many great touches. Show us a closer image of how you added the chrome trim to the rockers.

You nailed it blending new and old with the decklid, nice job! The targa looks so much more refined without a rear wing. Who created this beautiful piece? If you are looking to smooth out your parking brake handle, here's an idea from what I did using the old base cut shorter then booted with alcantara/microsuede:

after 6 Full 964 Coupe Backdates we named this Targa a Mild Backdate
we had the chrome/Aluminium components used for some of our previous cars
the concept was to put the black in contrast with chrome and make it look real noble.
We focused on the details like the roll bar cover which got a high gloss polish.
The wipers are real chrome, not the silver you find typically on the early 911
we had the Deser Recaro S seats in our previous car in leather with chrome rivets
A Targa deserves something more noble we think and upholstered with real basket weave leather from Torino in Italy.
If you look at the steering wheel in detail it’s highest quality upholstery work

A lovely car along with an equally interesting home to house your car! Have been to Stuttgart several times although, it was many years ago while stationed in Frankfurt at the 97th General Hospital from 1973 to 1975. Lots of changes since then I’m sure.

1975 is definitely too long ago, you should come back. New Porsche museum, Mercedes museum, factory tours, the former formula 1 track Solitude Ring.....

again, just wow, absolutely lovely, none of those expensive backdates have anything on your nicely done targa, i'll stop now, don't want you getting a big head or....too late i am imagining, anyway...nicely done...

If I ever get a Targa I want one just like this one. That's the coolest Targa ever!
